Taking a Trip Every Month of 2023

At the beginning of the year my husband and I set the crazy goal of trying to travel somewhere each month of the year. Spoiler- we didn’t reach the goal but we were SO CLOSE!! (P.S., you can click on the photos of each month to direct to the corresponding YouTube videos of each trip!!) Let’s do a recap of our travels in 2023…

JANUARY: San Diego, CA

January 2023 we travelled to San Diego, California to go to my internet friend’s baby shower (Lauryn Willkomm)!!!! This was Keegan’s first time going to San Diego and I was so excited to show him around since it’s become such a beloved place to me.

FEBRUARY: New Buffalo, MI

We rented a dog-friendly Air BNB for our February trip for Valentine’s Day! After loading up our two dogs, we headed up North and explored this cute little town together as our Valentine’s Day gift to each other. AIR BNB LINK

MARCH: Myrtle Beach, SC

We went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for our college spring break! A group of 16 of us made the 15 hour road trip and stayed in one large Air Bnb together- it was a super fun trip with tons of memories made! For this YouTube travel vlog of the trip, I decided to make it “reality TV style” and it was a lot of fun to film + edit to get creative!

MARCH/APRIL: Treasure Island, FL

My first trip with Keegan’s whole family was the best! They used to go to this same city + property every spring break when Keegan was a child so it was cool to go see what it was all about. It was great family time and I loved getting to swim in the pool and play on the beach with my new nephews.

MAY: San Diego, CA

Back to San Diego we go!! Lauryn and Kekoa had welcomed their new baby into the world and we were dying to go visit them to meet him!!!! So of course we booked a trip and spent some time out there. It was so fun watching them be amazing parents <3

For May I had also dreamed of going on a crazy extravagant graduation trip with Keegan to somewhere out of the country but it did not happen. Maybe someday, haha!

JUNE: Nashville, TN

One of my best friends moved to Nashville in early June so Kylie + I drove down to visit her during her first few days! Kylie and I have been to Nashville before so we knew some of the cool spots to show Macy. It was so fun exploring the city of Nashville for a few days! This whole trip my nerves were setting in because right when I got back I was heading off to an exciting opportunity…

JUNE: Cupertino, CA - Apple Park

PINCH ME! I can’t believe I got invited out to Apple’s HQ at Apple Park. Insane!!!! Keegan and I flew out here and stayed in a nice hotel- we were just living the dream. We watched the annual Keynote presentation live where they made some crazy announcements, I met a few inspiring creators, and we got a tour of the place! It was truly a dream.

JULY: Nowhere….

In July we bought a house and got access to it!! So we spent the month doing renovations and DIYs before move in day. We also spent lots of time at the lake, celebrated a few birthdays, and went to a wedding! It was a busy month with no time for travel. And we finally moved into our new house at the end of July!

AUGUST: Los Angeles, CA

I went to Los Angeles Night 6 of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert!! AHHH!! One of my favorite trips of the year. I went with Keegan Acton and Lauren Norris and it was so great to meet them and hang out with them! We stayed in an Air BnB by the concert venue and truly had the best time. I loved my eras tour outfit + felt so pretty, the whole night was just amazing!

SEPTEMBER: Nowhere…

Spent some time settling into our new home, enjoying the fall colors and festivities, celebrating lots of birthdays, and dying my hair back to it’s natural color!!

OCTOBER: Hocking Hills, OH

For our first year wedding anniversary we ventured over to Hocking Hills, Ohio to do some hiking, exploring, and cozy cabin living. We had the best low key weekend with all the pretty fall foliage!

NOVEMBER + DECEMBER: Home <3

We dialed down our travels towards the end of the year because we ran out of money, haha! After buying a house we decided to start prioritizing saving our $$ to save up for some items like a new couch. It was an amazing year of travel and creating new memories and I am so glad we had the opportunity to do it all before “adulting” expenses hit us!!

I will also have detailed posts about each place we visited with the links to Air Bnbs, things that we did, itineraries, etc! Thanks for reading, I love you!!!
